Jeremy Gavin, Director & Head Coach

Jeremy helped 11 talented young athletes form Mission as a club in 2018. He as coached fastpitch since 2013 and his teams have won championships and placed high in both national and local tournaments. He is a positive, encouraging coach who cares about each player.

He is the head coach of Team Netherlands for the Triple Crown International Challenge where he is able to work with elite softball players across the nation. Jeremy won state and national championships as a player and played college baseball for Bethel.

As director, Jeremy sets the culture for Mission and recruits talented coaches and instructors to help our athletes improve. He is a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and involved in the mentorship program.

Nikki Caicedo, Head Coach
Recruiting Director | Catching Instructor

Nikki has a wealth of experience as a head coach and a recruiting director. Nikki has coached for over 9 years across the country and in South Africa. Most recently as a head coach for Mission starting in the Fall of 2021. She is also an assistant coach for Macalester College.

As a younger player she played for a national travel team out of NJ (even though she lived in Michigan) and was a four-year starter at Macalester College. She continues to play as a catcher on the Mission Coaches team that a number of the Mission coaches play on!

She serves as our college recruiting director which includes a 10-part online educational seminar over Zoom to teach families about the college recruiting process. She also runs Mission’s year-round catching instruction.

She has a degree in Neuroscience and Economics and loves travel.

Mike Perry, Head Coach

Coach Perry has been assisting or coaching in girls fastpitch for the past 18 years. Most recently the head coach of a Midwest Speed 16U National team. Mike also coaches with Sean Hall at Forest Lake H.S.   Prior to coming back to MN three years ago, Coach Mike was the 16U Birmingham Thunderbolts Premier team head coach- a premier organization in Alabama where his daughter played before playing 5 years at Auburn University, and now professionally in the WPF. He also assisted the organization as their recruiting coordinator.

Mike’s collegiate coach contacts are a valuable asset to the Mission Organization and its players, looking to play at the next level. His attitude and knowledge of the game as a whole will benefit our girls immensely.

Tien Ly, Club Hitting Director | Head Coach

Tien brings a level of energy, knowledge, dedication and experience that few MN coaches can match. With 17 years of coaching experience and the same amount studying all aspects of the game, he will bring a lot to our athletes and coaching staff.

Tien will serve as the club hitting director and will lead our staff in the development of high-level hitting training combining the latest technology with common sense and a care for the needs of each individual athlete.

Lindsay Burr, Head Coach
Hitting Instructor | Director of Operations

Lindsay Burr played competitive fastpitch for the St. Croix Surge before playing at St. Kates where she recently graduated with a Sports Science degree. Lindsay was a star player at St. Kates playing both third base and outfield. She is also an assistant coach for Macalester College.

Lindsay was an accomplished hitter who learned from many great instructors and now passes on her knowledge to young athletes looking to follow in her footsteps.

She is a joy to be around, very positive but with a commanding style of communication. In addition to leading a team as a head coach, Lindsay manages a number of other aspects that are required to run a club as the Director of Operations.

Jody Gabriel, Asst Coach

Coach Gabriel has a 20+ year career spanning multiple collegiate stops which included a WIAC Coach of the Year award. She has coached club ball from 10u-18u and played at UW-River Falls winning the WIAC title. Jody joins her former Mac player Nikki Caciedo as a special assistant coach on the Mission 18U National team. She's implementing a number of game strategy techniques that can help all Mission teams.

Alex Reak, Head Coach

Alex grew up in Elk River and went to high school at Totino-Grace. She graduated from SW Minnesota State with a Bachelors in Science in Sports Management and a Minor in coaching. She is working towards her Masters of Science in Sports Leadership. Alex has coached softball for 3 years and played at the Division 2 level.

Jeremy Misener, Assistant Coach

Jeremy Misener has been a coach at the collegiate and youth levels in a variety of sports for 14 years. He has a passion for both learning and teaching with the ability to communicate at a high level. Talented at inspiring players to become the best they can be.

Bri Enter, Assistant Coach

Bri finished her collegiate career as the top pitcher for the Gophers in 2024. She is a native of Florida and started her collegiate career at Florida State. She has a passion for the game and wants to continue to pass on the lessons she learned on to Mission players. Bri has a degree in psychology and is working on her Masters in Counseling at the U of M.

Katie McCabe, Assistant Coach

Coach Katie grew up in southwest Minneapolis and played for Club 612 under Coach Nikki, later coming back to the program as a head coach for a few years prior to joining Mission. Katie played collegiate ball as a catcher. She is currently a full-time nurse and does an amazing job connecting with our players on a personal level.

Grace Syson, Assistant Coach

Grace is a catcher and infielder who plays for Augsburg College and is majoring in Marketing. She’s from Oshkosh, Wisconsin and joined Mission as an assistant coach in 2021.

Katie Reisdorfer, Assistant Coach

Coach Katie grew up playing softball in California before heading to Jamestown, ND to play collegiate softball and get her degree in Psychology and a Masters in Clinical Counseling. She has experience playing many positions other than pitcher. She cares a lot about the mental part of the game and works with kids in her day job.

Whitney Johnson, Pitching Director

Whitney Johnson is one of the most sought-out pitching instructors in the Midwest and beyond.

Whitney has a passion for teaching the science of pitching and to develop a complete pitcher. Sometimes she’s known as ‘mcgyver’ as she is known to use any item around her as a pitching instruction tool!

She is the owner of Wind Up Fastpitch and a full-time pitching instructor. Mission pitchers get to work with her year round as part of the team fee.

As a pitcher at NDSU she was a two-time Summit League tournament MVP and 2013 Pitcher of the Year Whitney Johnson enjoyed a record-setting career for North Dakota State University. She ended her career as the Summit League’s all-time leader with 994 strikeouts. She went on to play oversees in Netherlands for the Centrals de Belt in Utrecht.

Madisen Borek, Assistant Coach

Madisen grew up playing competitive fastpitch in California before moving to Minnesota to play ball for Bethany Lutheran. She batted .438 in 2022 and recently graduated with plans to go to Law School at Hamline University. Madisen has a passion to teach a ‘we’ approach to being a teammate.

Joe Reinert, Head Coach

Joe was a 3 sport athlete at Watertown-Mayer high school in football, wrestling and baseball. He then went on to play football at Mayville State in North Dakota. Joe started playing fastpitch softball when he was 15, and his 10+ year career includes numerous state titles, multiple top 5 finishes in national tournaments, and an all tournament team recognition. He also has 3 years of coaching experience, most recently at Watertown-Mayer HS. In addition to coaching, Joe will be providing hitting lessons at Mission as well.

Kam Johnson, Speed & Agility Director

Kam is a positive influence on everyone he meets and is phenomenal working with Mission athletes. He builds and leads offseason workouts to build strength and speed that is vital to the softball athlete, as well as a healthy lifestyle. Kam is a former college athlete, works with several members of the Minnesota Vikings and is a full-time fitness professional.

Kelly Gavin, Strength & Conditioning Instructor

An advocate for living a healthy lifestyle, Kelly runs our strength conditioning instruction during the off-season. She works with Kam to create interesting and effective strength movements specific for the fastpitch athlete.

Kelly is a former college softball player (Bethel University), former JV softball coach for Benilde and launched Refresh Fitness - a fitness retreat company along with Kam.

She’s also a bit of a nutrition nut and helps us stock the fridge at Mission training center with healthy post-workout fuel.
