Mission Blast-Off Tournament
Rain or Cancellation Policy
All decisions from the Tournament Director are final. Notifications will be posted online, as well as on the Missionfastpitch.com tourney web page. We will send out tournament update links (where to follow game results and Sunday game times) via the group text to all coaches before the tournament begins.
All decisions from umpires in terms of lightning or hazardous weather are FINAL. Umpires will suspend games at the first sign of danger including high wind and rain downpours. Depending on length of game and/or score, games may be ruled FINAL by the Tournament Director.
Note: Cases in which the game may be ruled final:
One team leads another team by a large amount. For instance, if team is winning by 6 or more runs, regardless of inning, the game MAY be ruled “final” in order to keep the tournament moving forward. However, we will do everything in our power to play games to completion.
The home team has batted, and an inning is complete with 50 or more minutes already played.
Forfeit
In case of lightning, play should not resume for 30 minutes following the last lightning siting.
Teams are to remain within proximity of the playing field and not assume the game has been postponed or canceled until a call has been made by the Tournament Director. Games will begin as soon as possible based on weather and field conditions. A five-minute warm-up period is allowed.
Mission Fastpitch reserves the right to change the format and structure of the tournament in order to complete the tournament. We will do everything we can to assure that all games are played, including and not limited to shortening length of games or pool contests.
In the event that the tournament is unplayable for any reason (no games played), teams will be refunded all but $25 of registration for administration fees. If teams play one game, there will be a 50% reimbursement. If at least two official games by rule are played, or are available for play, no reimbursement will be offered.
